Plan For Digipak x2

This is my first idea for a digipak, I have used the same image on this digipak as I have on one of my magazine adverts however this one is in colour unlike the magazine advert, the picture of the sunset will be on the inside of the 6 faced digipak so when you open it up you can see this image and the CD which will have the same image on it which it covers up on the background image. As for the 2 faces that are covered with black and white smoke these will be the front and back faces once the digipak is folded together, I decided to pick black and white as these are colours associated with our genre of choice and it also makes the title stand out as well as all the other writing on it. The bottom left face which will be the first inside cover before you fold the whole thing out to see the sunset image is our record logo ‘25 records’ to show the institution linked with the marketing and the production of the music video.

For this digipak I have kept a theme going from my digipak idea 1 and also my magazine adverts for example I have kept the picture of the sunset over the lake however I have chosen a slightly different photo from a different angle however this is still my own image. I have also used a photo frame on top of this image which I also used in one of my magazine advert ideas. On the back cover which is the bottom left face I have kept it very simple with a black and white approach as this face has mostly writing and information as well as the ITunes logo to inform customers of where they can digitally download this song. On the inside 3 faces I wanted a black and white image as these are colours often used by the ‘The 1975’ who are the band that I have used for inspiration a lot through this process so I decided to go for a plain black and white wall to make the image on the CD stand out. As for the image on the CD, as our record logo is circular I thought it would be a good idea to just put the logo onto the CD which sits on the plain wall background.

The final face is the front cover which is the bottom right square, for this cover I have tried to recreate an image used by ‘The 1975’ for CD’s and other adverts however I didn't want to make it look exactly the same as this wouldn't be my original idea, the image looks like this;
